The only reason I don’t give it a 5 is because the mini dot version isn’t as “non slip” as I would prefer, but it is a fantastic accessory for your high end rail system.Īnyone who appreciates intricately machined parts will love these. Superlight weight mod that adds a nice finish and good grip! 10/10įit and finish was perfect! You’ll want one for every rifle! I love the texture it adds to the side of my rifle. After you get this thing installed, you have admitted it's a looker! Real robust and firm rail with no wiggle whatsoever.Wonderful product with easy installation and great grip. This was the only way I got this rail to work. Eventually, I had to consult a gunsmith who advised me to crank the torque on up over 80 lbs the gun would be okay. The mil-spec "sprocket" style barrel nut I had overnighted refused to line up appropriately, so the gas tube wouldn't be out of alignment. It was a "batteries not included" level of frustration. I had to get the rail to figure out it didn't come with a barrel nut. I think most of the aftermarket ar rail system manufacturers have their proprietary barrel nut, which usually aids in installation. My prior experience is with an Odin Works 15.5" Keymod rail, and they have their proprietary barrel nut, which is remarkably smart for lining up the gas tube. My four-star rating is entire because of this issue. What they are forgetting is the guy building an AR from scratch. They are assuming you have a standard Mil-Spec barrel nut already installed on the barrel. The assumption is that you already have a MOE or Mil-Spec type hand-guard. This being said, Samson manufacturing has made one assumption, which I think is a weak point in the installation process.
